St. Catherine Theological Union is an ecumenical and interreligious non-profit educational foundation chartered in the State of Wisconsin. As an education facility that recognizes the accomplishments of individuals who may have previous ministerial experience or who may have already completed a fully qualified education in theology or divinity, we may offer certificate programs; continuing education, and grant degrees in areas of ministry.  SCTU does not hold accreditation from a Department of Education approved accrediting agency – at this time. The State of Wisconsin, in which St. Catherine Theological Union is established, exempts religious schools of higher education from licensing and accrediting requirements.

By 2023, St. Catherine Theological’s board will complete its initial self-study for accreditation.
